This award recognises the skilful way in which a specific news story has been handled for its target audience. How did your station react to a large breaking news event? Be it a local, national or international story, did your news team keep the audience informed of the latest developments as they occurred. Judges will be looking at the breaking, follow through and onward development of any news story.
Entries should consist of not more than 1,000 words to 'sell your entry', outlining main objectives, target audience and achievements, together with relevant audience statistics. You may edit material for time purposes but not ‘doctor’ material i.e. you are not allowed to edit out mistakes. Extracts must be ‘as-aired’, save for the editing out of ad breaks.
Total duration of submitted audio should not exceed 15 minutes.
All audio must be in mp3 format only – stereo or mono, no more than 44.1 KhZ/16 bits/160 kbps.
